Coming up October 28th, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the New York Climate Solutions Summit will take place at the Harley School in Brighton. The NY Climate Solutions Summit will feature former Sierra Club President, Aaron Mair, as well as author and ecologist, Sandra Steingraber.
Sue Hughes-Smith of Rochester People’s Climate Coalition spoke of the goal of the summit, which is to advance the discussion around what sort of actions will be required to move the state off of fossil fuels, Some of the efforts will be legislative; others will be technical, such as identifying realistic targets for wind or solar power development.
